    SiteStaff was founded in Colorado in 2011. They provide businesses with chat software and the also provide the chat agents to manage their software. Their business seems to be growing year after year and lucky for us they hire remote chat agents to specialize in sales and customer service.

    They have positions open for chat support and sales. As a chat support agent, you’ll be responsible for talking to customers of various companies and supporting them with their concerns.

    Customer service experience will help you in this role and you should be able to type quickly if you want to succeed. In a chat support role, you’ll need to be able to multitask. You’ll have to research issues while talking to customers and sometimes you’ll have to juggle a few chats at a time.

    Where does SiteStaff hire?

    They hire remotely in the United States. It’s unclear if they’re hiring in any other countries at this time.

    Am I an employee or an independent contractor of SiteStaff?

    You will be an independent contractor.

    What are the hours and scheduling?

    The chat host positions are part-time shifts that are 4 to 5 hours in duration. Also, they request that you be available to work at least one weekend shift(this is typical of service jobs.) I’ve read reviews that their schedules are flexible. However, I cannot find any details on how you choose or are given your schedule. They do operate seven days a week and likely 24 hours a day.

    How much does SiteStaff pay?

    They pay $10 per hour for their chat host positions. They also have sales positions which are commission based and not hourly.

    One of their job listings shared these requirements for the chat host SiteStaff position:

    • computer, speakers, reliable internet connect
    • have no distractions during work hours

    I’ve mentioned before in previous posts, but I will say this again. Most legitimate work at home companies will require you to be alone and distraction free. If you have children, please don’t fire your babysitter when you get a work at home job. This idea is a common misconception of the work at home industry.

    I know the information on this post is limited. I dug deep throughout the Interwebz, and this is all that I have found on this company. From all the comments I’ve read from employees and contractors SiteStaff is a good, honest company to work with. I couldn’t find any bad reviews or comments regarding their business or their chat support remote positions.
